Education: I am originally from Stockton, IL and graduated from Stockton High School in 1996. I attained my Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University in 2000. Then I went on to receive my Master's Degree in Reading from Western Illinois University in 2004. I have continued to attend many classes and workshops about Autism, co-teaching, reading, RtI, assistive technology, and special education laws.

Experience: My student teaching experiences were at the high, middle, and elementary levels in Normal, IL, Bloomington, IL, and Rockford, IL. I taught special education at Lena-Winslow Elementary School for grades 1-3 from 2000-2008. I have been teaching special education at Scales Mound School since 2008. I have also coached junior high track at Le-Win and Scales Mound.
Family: I live in Elizabeth, IL with my husband and four children.
